October at Midcities Montessori is Humanitarian month, and the High Schoolers, Bizeteen, are leading the way with 2 "pay it forwards" for the month. We will be collecting items for Northside Inter-Community Agency - NICA socks, deodorant, bottled water, toothbrush & toothpaste, and combs to put into individual bags for those in need. If you or your business would like to participate by being a drop off location, or help with a donation, please reach out to me for more information.
Also, this month we will be hosting another Breathe Mental Health Awareness forum, to raise awareness for teen mental health. This partnership with Canvas Outpatient has been vital to getting the necessary resources to those who need it the most. Right now we have a tentative date of Tuesday October 22nd from 6-8 pm. If you would like to partner with us on this event, please let us know.
