Positively impacting HEB ISD schools through volunteering and partnerships.

VIPS
The Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD and the HEB Council of PTAs created VIPS in 2001 to recruit and support volunteers who can provide hands-on assistance at our schools. The VIPS objective is to impact student achievement in a positive way, whether directly or indirectly. Adopt-A-School
Your organization can become a campus adopter, and work with one school, or you can become a district adopter, an

d work with multiple schools, or even the entire district. These school partnerships can provide volunteers, funding, equipment, materials, and/or assistance with special needs. We will work to match the school's needs with the organization's resources, but a few suggestions include:

· Guest speakers
· Educational tours or field trips
· Incentive awards for student achievement
· Teacher discounts, rewards

Keep logging your hours! We have 97,000+ volunteer hours logged as of 10:30pm! You have until 11:59pm tonight to get all your hours logged. Can we reach 100,00? I bet we can!

Welcome back HEB ISD volunteers! It's time to log your hours so we can award Silver Service Badges and apple pins. We have great news this year - Log 50 hours for an invitation to the VIPS brunch that is being arranged to celebrate all of your efforts in volunteering. Stay tuned for more details.

In the meantime...get your hours and donations logged for any volunteering you've done (or money you've donated or used to purchase items you donated) from April 1, 2021 through March 31, 2022. The deadline to get everything entered is Thursday - April 7th - at 11:59PM.

If you did, come see us on Thursday, April 15th to pick up your badge and/or pins!

VIPS is co-hosting a drive-thru event with the Hurst Euless Bedford ISD Council of PTAs in the Pennington Field Parking Lot from 3-6PM!

Pick-up will be quick and easy. Hope to see you there!

Just a friendly reminder that TONIGHT is your LAST CHANCE to log your volunteer hours and donations for the 2020-2021 volunteer year!

(FYI - the volunteer year runs from April 1st to March 31st each year, so pull out those calendars if you need a reminder of what you were doing a year ago 😀)

In case you didn't get an email, the end of the volunteer year was LAST WEEK! (Where did this year go?!?!)

While we aren't going to calculate hours for campus awards, we're still going to award Silver Service Badges and apple pins. A plan is being developed to distribute the badges and apple pins earned for both the 2019-2020 VIPS year AND the 2020-2021 VIPS year, so stay tuned for that info!

In the mean time...get your hours and donations logged for any volunteering you've done (or money you've donated or used to purchase items you donated) from April 1, 2020 through March 31, 2021. The deadline to get everything entered is TOMORROW, Wednesday - April 7th - at 11:59PM.

The weather is getting warmer - what better way to celebrate than cooking dinner on the grill?! District Adopter Texas Roadhouse will supply the meat, you supply the grill! See flyer for details.

And after dinner, load the family into the car and visit Rita's Italian Ice (but, you know...only send one person in to place the order - be safe and stay socially distant!). See who can finish their Italian Ice before getting back home AND not get a brain freeze!
