One of our favorite ways to build community and get to know each other in Pre-K is through our All About Me bags!

This week, students are bringing home a brown paper bag with a special activity attached. We invite each child to pick 3 small items that share a little bit about who they are to bring back and share with the class.

We’re looking forward to learning more about each of our students ❤️

✨ We had our first chapel with Becca today! We read the story about David and Goliath. Our takeaway was ‘when things feel big I can talk to God and He will help me’

We also had an activity where we used “slingshots” (spoons and rocks) and tried to take down Goliath.

God is good ❤️

We are thankful to have partnered with Cari Dawn Photography for our school pictures this year.

We love being able to support a local small business all while capturing sweet, timeless memories for our school families.

✨ Making names the main focus at the start of August sets our learners up for a successful year ahead!

✏️ Name recognition is one of the most important early literacy milestones. When kids learn to trace, write, and spot their own name among their friends' names, it builds foundational fine motor skills and boosts their confidence from day one.

Our classroom was full of smiles, sweet moments, and lots of hands-on fun as we kicked off the new school year. Here is a peek at what our little learners created to bring home:

✨ Pre-K: After reading First Day Jitters, our students made adorable pencil handprint crafts reminding us that "God is helping me write my story!"

✨ Junior Pre-K: Our class read The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn and created their very own handprint keepsakes—a sweet little reminder of love to hold close all day! 🦝❤️

Here’s to an amazing year of growing, learning, and laughing together!

✨ We officially wrapped up orientation today and our cubbies are all set and ready to meet their new students! We can’t wait to welcome everyone back for our first official day tomorrow.

Our parking lot is off of 6 1/2 Street, on the North side of the Youth Building.

This is a time set aside to let your student explore the classroom and ask questions that you may have before orientation.
