All dismissal happens one hour earlier than usual tomorrow.

🚗 Car Rider Bell: 1:33
🚌 Bus Riders: 1:38

Bus riders will arrive home approximately ONE HOUR EARLIER than normal. For example, if your child normally gets home at 3:15 p.m., expect them around 2:15 p.m. tomorrow.

📱 Put a reminder in your phone tonight so you’re ready for the earlier dismissal tomorrow!

🟣🟡 A pretty special feature about a pretty special place! 🌾

Hoosier Gym Journey recently visited Shawswick and shared a great feature on the history of our gym and the generations of Farmers who have called it home.

From Shawswick High School’s sectional championship teams, to Damon Bailey’s undefeated middle school seasons, to the students who still fill this gym today, there is a whole lot of history inside these walls.

The author called our gym “one of the most well-preserved old gyms” he has come across and “a treasure for the community.” We couldn’t agree more.

We are incredibly fortunate that while so many historic Indiana gyms have disappeared or changed over the years, ours is still here, still being used, and still proudly Home of the Farmers! 🌾

🌟 Our First Fantastic Farmers of the Year! 🌟

Today we celebrated our very first Fantastic Farmer recognitions of the 2026–2027 school year! 💜💛

These students were recognized for going above and beyond and showing what it means to be a Fantastic Farmer. Whether it’s being kind, working hard, helping others, or making great choices, we love catching our students doing things the right way!

We’re proud of our first group of Fantastic Farmers and can’t wait to recognize many more throughout the year! 🌾⭐

We are proud to announce that North Lawrence Community Schools achieved a 90.94% pass rate on the 2026 IREAD assessment!

📚 NLCS: 90.94%
📊 Indiana State Average: 88.7%

This accomplishment represents so much more than a number. It reflects the hard work of our students, the dedication of our teachers and staff, and the support our families provide every day.

📣 SES Cheer Tryouts are coming up!

Students interested in cheering for the 2026–2027 Shawswick Elementary basketball season are invited to attend our upcoming clinic and tryouts!

⭐ Cheer Clinic: August 17–18 | 3:30–5:00 PM
⭐ Tryouts: August 20 | 4:00 PM
