College Essay Support Program - As we navigate uncharted territory, many rising seniors are anxious to begin their college essays because it is a relatively concrete exercise. I have been working with students in this process for several years. Through a comprehensive and individualized approach, students can check the college essay task off their list this spring. The process involves an initial virtual meeting with the student to understand his/her aspirations followed by a comprehensive review of academic, extracurricular accomplishments, history and struggles. Development of a resume is also completed through this process. From there we move into guidance of essay topic selection and idea generation. Finally, each student will have a minimum of 5 essay revisions. All essay revisions will be cloud based. Scheduling will work around the student's availability. June is a great time for students to take SAT subject tests. As students complete AP, IB and honors course work in their sophomore and junior years they are naturally prepared for subject specific tests in June. The deadline for registering for the June tests is quickly approaching.
