Prop 9 Vote YES!

Texas Voters: In November, there will be 14 propositions on the ballot. PROP 9 authorizes a cost-of-living (COLA) adjustment for some of the Teacher Retirement System annuitants. The monies to provide for this small COLA will NOT COST THE TAXPAYERS ANYTHING! The funds are ALREADY IN the TRS Account. We just need everyone in Texas to vote YES in order for the legislature to release the funds. The annuitants who will receive these funds have not had ANY increase in 20+ years.

Please spread the word to all your family and friends. Tell them to VOTE YES for Prop 9!!! Retired teachers deserve this Cost-of-living adjustment!!!

Moving from a B to an A with the current TEA rating system is a BIG deal. I am so incredibly proud of our students and teachers in Grapevine Colleyville ISD. 😊I know that our campus administrators as well as our central administration leaders were the driving force in supporting our classroom teachers. I chose to share Michael Crow’s post because I think he says it so well! Congratulations, GCISD!🎉

I had a great time at “Walk A Mile With GCISD” this evening with two of my sweet friends. ❤️It was great to see so many community members out walking at the track together. 😊

I want to start by saying congratulations to Lindsey Sheguit on being elected to the GCISD Board of Trustees Place 6. I know you will be a strong advocate for students and staff as you help lead our district for the next several years.

It has been a privilege and an honor to serve as a Trustee for the Grapevine Colleyville ISD for the past three years. I want to thank all of those who have supported me in this role and express my sincere appreciation to each one of you. I especially want to thank those of you who have helped me during my elections. Your time, commitment and effort will never be forgotten.

I pray that we, as a community, can come together and support our elected board members as they continue to navigate some very challenging times in public education. I love this school district and I know we are all very blessed to live in GCISD.

I want to close by thanking the people who have stood by me daily in this role - my husband, Dave, and my daughter, Kylie. I am really looking forward to spending more time with my family.
