On behalf of the members of Local 3571, we would like to send our deepest condolences, thoughts, and prayers out to the family, friends, and members of Chicago Fire Fighters Union - Local 2 on the sudden passing of Battalion Chief Sean Kevin. Rest easy sir.. 3-3-5.

Battalion Chief Sean Kevin (Aug. 8, 1973 - Sept. 8, 2026)

The Chicago Fire Department mourns the loss of Battalion Chief Sean Kevin. Kevin, 53, was a 30-year veteran of the Department and father of three. During his tenure, he rose through the ranks, serving as a Firefighter, Lieutenant and Captain before being promoted to Battalion Chief in 2023. Kevin had just completed his shift and returned home when he passed away. We are asking for prayers for the Kevin and CFD families, and privacy, during this difficult time.

It was great to see everyone’s “first day of school” posts that we felt like we should join in the fun.. We would like to congrats Brother Dalakouras on his very first day of getting to act up in the car as he has put the work in to become an acting BC. We are so very proud of you buddy!

This past Friday, we officially welcomed into service our two new Engines, 71 and 72. We did so with members from the community, the village board, and family members of Retired Chief Robert Rubel, whose name is affixed on E71 to honor his memory. Thank you to all those who attended this amazing event. 🇺🇸🚒🚒🇺🇸

🚨 A Brother from Bedford Park Firefighters Local 3571 could use our support! Jeffrey Braun was recently diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma and is facing a tough battle.
Proceeds from the June 6th event at Hometown Tap will help support him in his fight against cancer.
