What Are UC Scholarship Days?

UC Scholarship Days are special University of Charleston Scholarship Days/Open House programs where students can receive additional scholarship money. You are invited to attend ONE of these programs. You must be accepted to the University of Charleston to participate.

Compete for thousands of $$$$ in scholarships — more than $1,000,000 was given away last year! Students have the opportunity to compete for the scholarships.

The competition is fun, engaging and interesting for both students and parents. You will participate in some group problem-solving activities, interview with faculty and staff, submit a short writing sample and learn a lot about the University and yourself.

What else should I expect at a UC Scholarship Day?

--You and your parents/guardians will be involved in engaging activities and informational sessions.

--You will have the opportunity to learn more about financial aid opportunities.

--You will be able to meet and interact with professors and current students in your intended major.

--You will learn much more about the scholarship programs and involvement and leadership opportunities at UC.

--You will see why UC is known for Learning Your Way.

YOU WILL ALSO HAVE A CHANCE TO MEET WITH ME TO TALK ABOUT THE SOCCER PROGRAM!

UCB is located in the heart of downtown Beckley in Beckley, West Virginia. This is the first semester the University of Charleston has been open on the Beckley campus and we are proud to say that we are a four year institution that has full accreditation to 12 degree programs. We have decided that we are going to be starting a soccer program this fall (2013).

Being a student-athlete at UCB you would have the ultimate experience of being amongst the first players to ever play for this campus, an experience that I hope it is exciting to you!! You will help build the foundation of this program as well as make school history in the first year playing.

As a former student-athlete at the University of Charleston, I can say first hand that academics, athletics, and social activities enabled me to have a balanced experience in college. I was able to earn a degree in four years and had the opportunity to play the game I love. I believe that being a student-athlete is important to your development as an individual. UCB and I have full interest in ensuring that we give you the help, need, and attention to allow you to be successful both in the classroom and on the field.
