Real-life lessons add up!!!

Our 8th graders got to participate in the WV State Treasurer's Office Get A Life Program today! This hands-on experience gave students the opportunity to learn valuable financial skills and get a glimpse of the real-world decisions they'll face in the future. A HUGE thank you to all of our amazing volunteers from the Beckley Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce and to Katlyn Hostein from the WV Treasurer's Office for sharing the time, knowledge, and support to make today possible. Experiences like these help prepare our students for life beyond the classroom, and we're grateful to everyone who helped make it happen.

PARK MIDDLE SCHOOL: THE SANDLER EDITION!

The halls of Park Middle School were filled with Adam Sandler look-alikes today as we kicked off SPIRIT WEEK 2026!

From oversized T-shirts and baggy basketball shorts to sunglasses and some seriously laid-back attitudes, our Roadrunners understood the assignment! 😂

Who knew Adam Sandler had so many twins walking the halls of Park Middle?!

We loved seeing our students having fun, showing their personalities, and bringing the school spirit!

Check out our Sandler squad!

Next up: Picture Perfect Tuesday! 📸✨ Time to trade those baggy shorts for your picture-day best!

💚🤍 GO ROADRUNNERS!

Spooky Stories & Special Connections at Park Middle School!

Our 6th grade Roadrunners enjoyed a special visit from Drexel Sammons, a former Park Middle School teacher and now published author!

Mr. Sammons captivated students as he shared three chilling tales from his newly published book, A Teacher's Best Scary Stories. He also offered some fantastic writing tips to help our young authors prepare to create their own scary story narratives in the coming weeks!

One of the sweetest surprises of the visit was a special full-circle moment! Our very own Mr. Comerci was once Mr. Sammons' student at Crescent Elementary School—and now his name appears as one of the characters in the book! What a wonderful reminder of the lasting connections teachers make with their students.

A huge Roadrunner THANK YOU to Mr. Sammons for returning to Park Middle School to inspire the next generation of storytellers!

📖 Who knows? We may have a few future published authors walking our halls!
