On Tuesday, participants had the opportunity to hear from West Virginia University Institute of Technology President T. Ramon Stuart, PhD. President Stuart also took part in a Q&A session in which students asked about his educational and personal journey that led him to WVU Tech.

As part of the Summer Program, several students are taking part in our Culinary Elective Course, led by Chef Cacie from the WVU Tech Culinary Program. Students now know how to make pepperoni rolls and biscuits from scratch with more items on the menu over the next few weeks.

If you registered for a snack bag but were unable to pick it up today, you can stop by First Baptist Shady Wednesday from 9 to 11 or Friday 9 to 11 for pick up. Park at the side entrance in front of the flag poles.
Just a reminder that for the first few weeks, children need to be present when the bags are picked up.

We were joined on Tuesday by Kelsey Delgado, Owner of the Chick-fil-A Beckley Galleria, who spoke about her educational journey and her path to leadership and business ownership. Participants asked thoughtful questions and learned important life lessons they could apply in their day-to-day lives.

As part of our Real World Readiness Course on Monday, we were joined by Susan Wood, Director of Career and Professional Development, who led students in a discussion on proper attire for important life events, such as job and scholarship interviews and award ceremonies. Thank you, Susan!
