𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗟 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗛𝗔𝗦 𝗥𝗘𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛 𝟭𝟬/𝟴 — 𝗦𝗘𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗧𝗦 𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗩𝗘 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗔𝗗𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗜𝗡𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡!

𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨 to everyone who purchased Homecoming gear through our PTSA fundraiser! 💙🐾

We did see a 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿. While we know not every fundraiser will be for every family, lower participation also means fewer funds available to give back to our schools. If you have ideas for 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵, 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀, or ways we can better connect with our families and community…we are ALL ears! We want to know what you’d actually like to see and support, and we’d also love to hear about any barriers that make it harder to participate.

A few PTSA parents recently got together to sort and organize orders, and your gear should be headed your way 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸! 🎉

We also want to be transparent: 𝗣𝗧𝗦𝗔 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

And participation isn’t just purchasing. Our small team is working hard to keep PTSA active, and we need 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁…help with one fundraiser, volunteer for one event, or take on one task.

🚨 𝗪𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗛𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗦𝗢𝗠𝗘 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗘𝗦 𝗧𝗢 𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗟! 🚨

The Becker PTSA helps support students, families, and staff acrossBecker Public Schools. One of the ways we show appreciation for our teachers is by providing meals during conference nights, when teachers spend a full day with students and then stay late meeting with families.

Our 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀 are coming up, and we still need several volunteers to help fill the tables! 🍕🍪🥗

Our teachers are putting in a full day with our kids followed by a long evening with us parents…the least we can do is make sure they’re well fed for it. 😉🐾

Even one side, snack, dessert, or grab-and-go item helps—and homemade or store-bought is PERFECT! Every contribution makes it easier for the PTSA to provide a welcoming meal for our hardworking teachers.

🐾 PTSA FUNDING REQUEST!

Last year, Ms. Joy and Ms. Deb in our Early Child Special Education Department asked PTSA for educational activities and classroom resources to support their inclusive classrooms. Enjoy this reel showing last year’s requested items being put to use in their classrooms! The items were well loved, well used and incredibly helpful, so they’ve reached out for support again this year! 💙

Becker PTSA has recently been trying something new by giving our community the first opportunity to help fulfill classroom wishlists before PTSA funds the remaining items. This helps stretch PTSA dollars further and support even more needs throughout our schools!

📣 As we teased earlier this week… Conference Meal Sign-Ups are here!

𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝒖𝒑: 𝑯𝒊𝒈𝒉 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 & 𝑴𝒊𝒅𝒅𝒍𝒆 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍! 🐾

Our teachers spend all day keeping up with preteens and teenagers…hormones, eye rolls, missing assignments, “I don’t know” answers and all 😵‍💫

Then they stick around for a LONG evening of conferences with us parents.

The least we can do is feed them! 🍕🥗🍪

✨ 𝑵𝑬𝑾 𝑻𝑯𝑰𝑺 𝒀𝑬𝑨𝑹! We’re asking our amazing Becker community to help us keep teachers and staff fed and energized through BOTH conference days!

On one conference day, we’ll be looking for hearty, sustaining snacks they can grab throughout the day and evening—meat & cheese trays, granola bars, trail mix, fruit, veggies and other filling grab-and-go options.

On the other, PTSA will provide pizza and drinks, and we’re asking for help rounding out the meal with sides, salads, fruits & veggies and desserts.

A few things to know:
✨ Homemade or store-bought is perfect!
✨ You do NOT need to feed the entire staff—we’re asking for several donations!
✨ Please comment on your sign-up with what you plan to provide so we can have a good variety.
✨ Disposable pans/containers are greatly appreciated so there’s nothing to keep track of or return afterward.
✨ Please precut desserts when possible.
