You're invited to a huge community shopping event that does a world of good!
While our primary mission is providing free school clothes to BSD students, our donation bins frequently overflow with incredible adult-sized apparel. To help our program grow and thrive independently, weโre hosting a giant blowout sale to find these clothes a good home. This sale, we also have quite a lot of baby and toddler clothes!
When: Saturday, June 13 | 8:00 a.m. โ 4:00 p.m.
Where: District Support Center (16550 SW Merlo Rd.)
The Deal: Every single item is just $1!

Third graders became experts about unique animalsโ learning about their diet, habitats, and life cycles. These zookeepers showed off their knowledge to families and students. It was a zoo!

Last day of school means wet and wild times in the sunshine! Students had a blast with all of the fun activities on the field. Big thanks to our parent volunteers, and Coach Lierman and Coach Carknerโ Another amazing year for our Kinnaman Coyotes!

Our 5th graders brought folktales to life by creating their own puppets and performing puppet shows for families and classmates. Their creativity, storytelling, and hard work were on full displayโand the audience loved it!

๐๐ฅ Fire safety came to Pre-K! ๐ฅ๐
A big thank you to the Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue crew from Station 62 for teaching our students about fire safety. Always know at least two exits in your home, and have a safe meeting spot for your family. Our young learners got to explore a fire truck, see the ladder in action, and learn from real-life heroes!

Ms. Chappelleโs 5th graders welcomed our new superintendent Dr. Tony Smith and shared their persuasive letters on important issues like more recess, less homework, longer summers, and later start times.
Whether their ideas become district policy or not, one thing is certainโthese students are learning how to use their voices to make a difference. World changers in training! ๐
