This week in in E-Musical History, 'Joseph' was produced and staged for a school in Germany, in 1999 (23 years ago). BHS/AHS moms and students joined Mr. E as he directed 'Joseph' for the 5th time. In 2014, we marked this milestone with an exhibit at the Beaverton History Center. The experience was a triumph for all involved as documented in a doc by Keith Dennis.

REMEMBERING THE LEGACY: Today would have been Mr. E's 85th Birthday. He has been gone for almost 18 years now, but he would be thrilled that his legacy was still remembered. Erickson was inducted in the BHS Wall of Fame in 2018. Please share what you admired or a great memory.

This week in E-musical history: In 1982 (40 yrs ago), BHS and AHS Thespians collaborated on a production of 'PIPPIN' starring Dale Johannes, John Oules and more for the International Thespian Festival being held in Muncie, IN, first performed the show on the AHS stage. In 2014, we honored this milestone with an exhibit at the Beaverton History Center.

TODAY (May 14th) in E-Spring Musical History, GEORGE M, starring Mike Rovech, Valerie Hart, Russell Snively and More (Erickson's first Spring Musical extravaganza that spanned for the next 29 years), opened 51 years ago (1971)! BTW...Rovech, Snively and others returned in 2016 after 45 years.

Congrats to another alum with a Tony nom. Shoshana Bean (95) got nominated for Featured Actress in a musical, 'Mr. Saturday Night'. She follows in the footsteps of Brooks Ashmanskas (87) who currently has 2 Tony Noms.
