A little more about Sydney:

Sydney Mesher is a Portland-born, bicoastal artist creating across dance, modeling, acting, and activism. Born without her left hand, she’s redefining representation in entertainment and championing disability visibility.

She made history as the first visibly disabled Radio City Rockette and has performed on major stages including the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Today Show, and NYFW. Sydney has danced for Cher, appeared in Hallmark’s A Holiday Spectacular, and been featured by CNN, People, ESPN, and more.

She is also the author of She Kept Dancing, sharing her journey to inspire the next generation.

Charlie Chheath is an accomplished dance educator and choreographer with over 15 years of experience. Currently a hiphop director at multiple studios in the PNW, many dancers trained under his guidance have grown to achieve success in the industry, including work for high-profile artist such as, Taylor Swift, Jordan Sparks, Selena Gomez, K-pop sensations JYP, BTS, etc.

He is passionate about teaching not just technique but also dance history, stage presence, confidence, and work ethic. Charlie’s holistic approach aims to nurture dancers who develop not only technical ability but also originality, style, and a deep passion for the craft.

Introducing Creative Movement Intensive faculty .808 💜

Born and raised in Hawai‘i, Brad Quiseng (aka JoyBoy) brings island soul and Pacific Northwest fire to every floor he touches. A freestyle battle champion across the PNW, JoyBoy is known for his musicality, charisma, and explosive command of CampbellLocking. At our Creative Movement Intensive, he’ll be sharing the foundations, grooves, and battle-tested techniques that make CampbellLocking both timeless and electric. Get ready to move, connect, and bring the joy.

Next up for our Creative Movement Intensive faculty announcements, we have MVP Faculty member Ashley Corkett!

Ashley began her dance training in ballet and went on to study and compete in multiple styles for over a decade. After working professionally in commercial dance in California, she returned to Oregon, where she has taught and coached competitive dancers for over a decade. An award-winning choreographer and instructor, Ashley has taught across the United States and abroad.

Here is a quick note from NICH:

The NICH Program kicked off its annual holiday season of giving by supporting families with meals and other needs during the holiday season. NICH couldn’t make it happen without the generous donations and support from the community. We are so thankful for meal donations from our local stores and gift card/monetary donations from folks from MVP! Because of their generous support we were able to provide support for over 20 different families! Another successful holiday season in the book and we are so excited to continue to support families in need! Thank you!

Join us for a full weekend intensive! All dancers are welcome 💜😋

Dancers will train with a variety of guest instructors and our in house faculty. Train in styles including hip hop, house, tutting, locking, jazz funk, and fusion.

Classes are grouped by age (Ages 8–12 and Ages 13+) to keep things fun, focused, and age-appropriate.

Attend one day or both—this intensive is a great way to try new styles, learn from new teachers, and grow as a dancer.
