While Fr. Bill and Fr. Dominic are away this week on retreat, we were blessed to welcome Fr. Brent from St. Cecilia Church as our guest presider for school Mass this afternoon.
During his homily, Fr. Brent reminded our students of the importance of living in relationship with God and allowing the Lord to form our hearts each day. As a parting challenge, he gave everyone some summer homework:
🙏 Pray every day
⛪ Go to Mass every weekend
Simple, meaningful, and life-giving.
As we count down the final days of summer, who doesn't love a little spiritual homework? May we all take Fr. Brent's challenge to heart and continue growing closer to Christ throughout the summer and beyond.

Our 2nd grade students began the week by visiting this morning and enjoyed feeding all the animals (or watching them feed themselves). Truly a memorable experience to remember the school year by!

3rd graders second visit to the city was to learn about our busy ports and seeing lots of ships (Naval, shipping, paddle wheel, Dragon boats, and some in dry docks and one even being built).
They learned about many of the unique bridges in our city of Portland.
Plus we did some big turns and splashes!

Our 4th and 5th grade students traveled to Mount Saint Helens Visitor Center, where they continued their learning about the 1980 eruption, its impact, and its effect on the landscape. This field trip reinforced concepts learned in class on weathering, erosion, and deposition, and the interaction of Earth's spheres.
🌋
Everyone had great time!
We are so grateful for the field trips our students have been attending this year, with your generous support from Titan Run.
Our staff gathers in prayer every morning before we start our day with our students. Today, our amazing Music teacher led us in song and compiled a list of teacher’s favorite [summer] things. ☀️

Most of us are thinking about summer, but our 6th grade scientists are thinking about spring…scales! As part of their unit on forces, they got to use spring scales to measure different forces around the classroom today.

What a wonderful evening at our Spring Concert,
“Are You Listening? Music Is Everywhere!”
🎶
From singing and recorders to percussion, buddy-class performances, and a special performance by members of our M.U.S.E. Band, our PreK–5th grade students reminded us that music truly surrounds us every day, in nature, friendship, celebration, and community.
We are so proud of our students for sharing their talents and joy with us, and so thankful to the teachers, families, and everyone who helped make the evening so special. What a beautiful celebration of music everywhere!

Welcome back, 6th graders! 🌲
Wonderful time at Outdoor School filled with adventure, learning, teamwork, and memories to last a lifetime. From exploring nature to building new friendships and discovering new skills, our students returned with stories, smiles, and a little extra mud on their shoes. We are so proud of all they experienced and accomplished!

Today our 3rd graders explored the history of Portland with the Urban Tour Group and learned how Portland became a city. From early settlements to the growth of our community, students stepped back in time to discover the stories, people, and events that shaped the city we know today. A day full of history, curiosity, and great questions!
