Greenway Elementary PTO

Greenway’s smallest runners kicked off Jog-a-thon today… and they showed up BIG.

Our Pre-K students started the day with huge smiles, lots of energy, and incredible school spirit

These little runners have helped raise $1,307 toward our school goal, proving that every lap, pledge, and cheer matters. Thank you to the families who came out to support!

Way to go, Pre-K! 💚🎉

So far Greenway has:
⭐ 96 students registered to run
⭐ Over $12.5K raised through pledges, local business sponsorships, and community support
⭐ An amazing community showing up for kids

Tomorrow K-5 will get the chance to lace up and hit their track tomorrow. Don’t forget their spirit gear! Spectators are welcome in the designated area, volunteers please double check your shifts on Parentsquare.

Our Greenway community has already surpassed last year’s fundraising total and is so close to reaching this year’s goal of $15k!! There’s still time to cheer on a runner, share a pledge page, or participate before tomorrow. 💚

🏃‍♂️💚 Greenway Spring Jog-A-Thon is HERE! 💚🏃‍♀️

Flyers are being sent home with students this week for both our main Jog-A-Thon and Pre-K Jog-A-Thon! Be sure to check backpacks for registration information, prize details, and QR codes to get started.

📅 Event Dates:
• Pre-K Jog-A-Thon: May 21
• Greenway Spring Jog-A-Thon: May 22

This year we’re using an easy online fundraising platform through PledgeStar to help families collect pledges from friends and family. Families who register online typically raise even more support for our school programs!

💚 Funds raised help support:
• Oregon Battle of the Books
• Art Literacy
• Classroom parties & snacks
• Field trips
• And other PTO-supported programs for our students!

✨ EVERY runner receives:
• A free event t-shirt
• Pre-K runners receive a popsicle
• K-5 runners receive a Jamba smoothie

🎉 Fun incentives & prizes include:
• Scented fruit pencils for students who send at least one pledge request
• Classroom trophy for the highest earning class
• Corby Paw medals for most spirited students & top runners
• Raffle prizes and fundraising rewards including:
• Bubble wand
• Reflex yoyo
• Tamagotchi
• Piccolo Mondo gift card
• Metal detector kit

Have you returned cans at bottles at the BottleDrop location on 99w in Tigard yet?

It’s easy! When you drive and park behind the building you will see the BottleDrop door, the QR code is your magic key! Scan it and open the door (hint: you only have to scan once for multiple bags)!

You can drop off cans at this secure access point anytime between 6am-9pm! Can’t make it out there? No problem bring your cans to Greenway Elementary School and we will take them for you! PTO MEETING LOCATION CHANGE

Due to staffing illness, we will not be able to have tonight’s meeting at Greenway’s Library. Location is TBD, please reach out if you still want to attend and someone will reach out to you with location when determined.
