Our lesson for today..
In solidarity with the nationwide general strike opposing expanded ICE operations and mass deportations, Six String Academics will be closed on Friday, January 30, 2026.
Music education doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Our students, their families, and our broader community are directly affected by policies that rely on fear, family separation, and the criminalization of people simply trying to live and work with dignity.
This closure is a small but intentional act of protest—an acknowledgment that business as usual is not always acceptable, and that silence is itself a choice.
Lessons will resume on February 1. No student will be penalized or charged for the closure.
Thank you for understanding, and for supporting a community that values humanity as much as harmony.
