Music Together is a music and movement program for kids ages 0-8...and the grown-ups who love them! All children can learn to to sing in tune and move to accurate rhythm (Basic Music Competence)
3. The modeling of their important grown-ups is essential to this development, and
4. A playful, non-performance oriented, MUSIC-RICH environment is where this learning occurs most easily.

I subbed in McKenzie’s Rhythm Kids class today and got to meet some sweet new big kid faces. We had a great time leaping like jaguars, dancing and drumming!
We describe our teaching team as different flavors of ice cream: Each flavor is a little different, but all equally wonderful!! It’s always fun to fill in for each other so our families can get to experience the different flavors!
And we also love our robot vacuum, Cocina 😆.

We hear all the time from parents in our classes how much singing happens outside of music class!
This makes me so incredibly happy because
1. You’re making music a part of your daily life and
2. You can see just how much music development happens *outside of our Music Together classroom!
This little lady has had multiple experiences with this song, “Biddy Biddy Bum” and only when she’s *supposed to be napping* does it come out 😂.
That’s learning in action! So much of what we do in class is meant for them to take it in - watching, listening, etc. Then, at home, sometimes even in their crib 🤭, is when it all comes out! Singing, dancing, playing!
Thanks for trusting this process with me, grownups! It’s so great to see the whole cycle of reception and expression!

We’re excited to have you back, teacher Cocoa!
After some sweet and essential time away to have baby Charlie, teacher Cocoa is coming back for a few classes per week this summer! Grab a class with her on Tuesday mornings in Studio 2 at our Beaverton location!
