🦊🌲 A little woodland magic for a very special mama-to-be! 💙🍼

BES celebrated Mrs. Searles and her sweet baby boy with the cutest woodland creature-themed baby shower! 🦌🦔 From sharing advice for Mrs. Searles and her husband to adding some fun sayings to diapers (because every new parent needs a little laugh!), our staff made it a special day full of love and excitement.

And how adorable are these cookies made by Mrs. Glasco?! 😍🍪

A big thank-you to our Hospitality Team and Nurse Hall for helping bring everything together and making Mrs. Searles feel so loved! We can’t wait to meet her little woodland adventurer when he makes his arrival! 💙🌿

🍂 Our 1st, 3rd, and 5th graders kicked off their first den meetings of the year! 💜💛 Beavers used nonverbal communication to show how they feel about fall 🍁 and learned all about how den meetings will work in our NEW den collaboration spaces! 🔎🔷 Shape detectives on the loose! 💜💛 Mrs. Manley’s kindergarteners took their learning beyond the classroom on a shape hunt around BES! 📚🥕 Creepy Carrots & Creative Writing! 🥕📚

Mrs. Parkhill’s first graders had a special guest reader today! Officer Jones stopped by to read Creepy Carrots, and they tied the story into their current Writing module, which has a big focus on using sensory and descriptive words. ✏️

After reading, students completed a carrot directed drawing and worked together to write descriptive sentences about their creations! What a fun way to bring reading and writing to life! 💜

We are SO proud of these 2nd graders who took on their first-ever Breakout EDU challenge during ELA extension with Mrs. McGuire today! They worked together, thought creatively, solved clues, and persevered through every challenge. 🧠💜💛

What a fun way to learn, collaborate, and put those problem-solving skills to work! Way to go, 2nd grade! 🦫🎉
