Belknap Elementary School is in need of the following paraprofessional positions:

(2) Part-Time Severe Special Needs Paraprofessionals

The job of Paraprofessional - Special Education was established for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional program within assigned classroom and under the supervision of a teacher or administrator, with specific responsibility for assisting in the supervision, care and instruction of special needs students in the regular classroom or in a self-contained classroom; assisting in implementing plans for instruction; monitoring student behavior during non-classroom time; providing information to appropriate school personnel; and attending some IEP meetings and training meetings.

The starting hourly wage is $13.99 - $22.16 per hour, depending on prior related work experience. $3 per hour additional for special ed. teacher aides who are assigned to work with severely disabled students. Belknap Elementary School is accepting applications for a part-time food service specialist position. The starting hourly wage is $15.04 - $23.82 per hour, depending on prior related work experience. Welcome Back, Belknap Families!

We’re excited to welcome everyone back to school! Just a reminder that Back to School Night is tonight from 6:00–7:00 p.m.

When you arrive, please start by finding Mr. Harris at the north gate of the playground. He will have your Back to School information and punch cards for you to begin the night.

If we have bad weather: Please find Mr. Harris at the north doors inside the building.

We can’t wait to see you tonight and kick off a great school year together!

Attention:
Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Tuesday, February 17th. No regular school that day but students are expected to attend alongside their parents at their assigned time. Regular school sessions will then resume for Wednesday (18th), Thursday (19th), and Friday (20th).
In exciting news, our 4th-grade students won the monthly attendance race and celebrated with ice cream and by duct-taping Principal Harris to the wall! It was great fun!
Belknap also had a fun activity to collect sunflower seeds for Seed for Soldiers. 1410 bags of seeds were donated! Mrs. Janett Bradshaw’s kindergarten class collected the most. Way to go!
Finally, please remember to support our students at the Book Fair, which will be open all day during conferences on Tuesday and after school Wednesday through Friday.
