Learn about preventing food waste & explore careers from
FARM TO TABLE

Hello All!
We are excited to announce a brand-new Farm to Table Career Exploration Day at Utah State University! This hands-on event will help youth discover how food waste can be reduced throughout the food system while exploring exciting careers in agriculture, food science, and culinary arts.

Participants will tour USU's Caine Dairy, South Farm and Harvest Facility, research vegetable gardens, food science laboratories, and more. Along the way, they'll collect fresh ingredients from each stop before ending the day in USU's teaching kitchens, where they'll prepare and enjoy a meal together while connecting everything they've learned from farm to table.

WHO: YOUTH IN GRADES 6–12
WHEN: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26 | 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM

WHERE: UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY, LOGAN, UT

ATTENDEE COST: FREE

REGISTRATION: ZSUITE - JULY 24 - SEPT 1

Space is limited to 80 youth and 10 adults, so we encourage participants to register early. A shuttle will be available for participants who are dropped off, while those who choose to drive their own vehicles will receive a map and directions to each tour location throughout the day.
Please help us spread the word by sharing this opportunity with youth and families in your county! The event flyer and social media plan are attached.

Thank you for helping us introduce young people to the incredible careers that make our food system possible. Please feel free to contact me with any questions!
