Our Story

Welcome to New River Community and Technical College! To help you have a successful college experience, we offer services to assist you at four campuses in Beaver, Princeton, Lewisburg and Summersville. Services are also provided at our Advanced Technology Center location in Ghent, WV. We try to accommodate your busy schedule with services at each location everyday and evening hours as advertised. Our professional staff will assist you with admission to the college, career assessment, paying for college (financial aid opportunities), academic advising and class scheduling, career planning and placement, as well as placement testing and free tutoring.

In addition to our classes and academic services, New River Community and Technical College is offering a growing selection of student services in which to participate outside the classroom. From various areas on each campus for students to hang out to our Student Government Association, we offer students the opportunity to get more from their college experience outside of the classroom.

We are also open to starting new services for students, so if there’s nothing to your liking on your campus, suggest something! It’s never too late to start a new student organization or club at the college if there’s enough support around it. Don’t forget, we are always open to new ideas and suggestions from students in general, so don’t be afraid to tell us any ideas you might have to improve the college. We are here for you. Let us know what you need to make your college experience a great one!
