Our Meet and Greet sessions for new students took place the last few days. It was wonderful to welcome our newest BVMS families. Our classrooms are ready for the start of the school year and everything is in place on the shelves. See you Tuesday!

Our students have been having a wonderful time at our Storybook Summer Camp this week! They have focused on the stories of Little Red Riding Hood and the Wizard of Oz, with many more to come! Here they are creating Somewhere Over the Rainbow Wind Chimes, pinning the tail on the Big Bad Wolf and even traveling through an obstacle course to Grandma’s House! The fun continues throughout the week.

Our Great Outdoors Summer camp was extra fun this week, with lots of learning, experimenting and enjoyment. Our students learned about the sun, plants and flowers, insects, birds and clouds. During the second half of the week we made bug collecting jars and practiced eating like insects; tried bird calls, created bird feeders and made custom bird seed blends; and used cloud viewers outside and experimented with a cloud in a jar. We made a delicious treat each day, spent time outside and made new friends. Summer Camp time continues this week with our Storybook Summer Camp!

Our first BVMS Summer Camp started this week with The Great Outdoors! We have learned about the sun and plants, and we have been busy creating solar art, experimenting to see which objects melt in the sun, planting seeds, creating a dandelion vase project and writing in our nature journals. We also enjoyed some sunny and plant based treats! More outdoor learning and fun continues this week, and next week our Storybook Summer camp begins. ☀️

April was a busy month with butterflies, baking, planting seeds, a visit from the zoo and lots of great work! It has been amazing to see all that our students have learned since September. Summer is just around the corner, but the fun will continue in May!
