Congrats to the winners of our 1st Annual Bible Bowl! Monica Morris, Matthew Lewis, Gwen Hudson and Anna King took home the coveted "bowl" with their lighting-quick buzzer action and mastery of Bible Trivia. It's a testimony to Geneva's steller Bible education that all five teams answered the following question correctly in the final round: What should you never call a prophet (or a pastor, for that matter) according to 2 Kings 23-25? Hint: Doug Bradbury lives this every day.

Ah, the sweet sights, sounds and smells of Christmas! The 2022 Student Min Christmas party was off the hook! About 45 students joined us for food, singing and merriment. Traditional favorites include "The 12 Days of Christmas," Terry's sausage cheese dip, and goofy white elephant gifts. We also added a photo booth this year! Check out some of our fave pics. We love our alumni! Kirsten (Smythe) Kopf, class of '19, dropped by the Student Min office for a visit. Kirsten is working at Urban Impact on the Pittsburgh North Side as Executive Office Project Manager & Event Coordinator.

Yinz missed a great time and 'at! The 15th Annual Soup Cook-Off (theme "All Things Western PA") didn't disappoint. "Packin' a Pierogi Punch" took first place, with team members Levi Cole, Matthew Lewis, Cruz Bradbury and Chago Bradbury representing Mrs. T Pierogi mascots from the Pittsburgh Pirates Great Pierogy Race. Terry Thomas led the No. 2 team with Franco's Italian Army pizza soup. Familia Bradbury came in third with Mean Joe Green spicy Pozole Verde soup, Joe Zurynski's "Chicken Pot (Hole) Pie" won the People's Choice Award. Thanks to all who participated! The soups were delicious and the themes were fun!

We love our alumni!!!

Today, Marrisa (AKA Sheila) Kotanichek ’20 shared her story and experiences in ministry with some of our students. Marrisa was joined by Carrie (Robinson) Hendrickson ‘01 and her daughter Cortina as she toured campus.

Marrisa is the middle school director at Memorial Park Church in the North Hills of Pittsburgh.

Yee Haw! We had a rip-roarin' good time at our Bible Department Family Reunion/Round-Up to kick off the new school year! A highlight was our "cold hard cash" competition to retrieve cash from a tub of ice cold water. What some people will do for a few bucks!

FOR HIGH SCHOOL JUNIORS & SENIORS
Check out Geneva's Closing the Gap faith & identity development program to aid in a healthy transition from high school to college. Students meet one Saturday a month, on Geneva's campus, to interact with college faculty, campus staff, college students and mentors to discuss topics such as calling vs. vocation, worldview, social issues and other challenges encountered in college.
Students participating in Closing the Gap receive a large discount for four transferrable college credits: one (1) for the Fall semester and three (3) for the Spring semester. The cost is $75 per credit ($300 total). These credits would typically cost more than $1000 per credit.

Our Annual Student Ministry Soup Cook off was a success! The theme this year was “SOUPerheroes”. This year, we had the most teams compete in all of our Soup history. Out of them only one could come out on top! Congratulations to the “Shang-Chi and the 10 onion rings French onion soup”.

Thank you to all of our amazing teams.
