To begin the school year, students in Materials and Processes for Manufacturing learn about and practice using drawing lines to create project sketches. ✍️

In this introductory class, students rotate through Woods, Automation, Technical Drawing, and Metals to learn about the materials and processes used in the world of Manufacturing. ✅ From here, students get to choose the areas they would like to specialize in and learn more about throughout their high school career. Work skills and various career opportunities are a large focus of this incredible course. 💚💛

A great hands-on way to put physics concepts into action through creativity, problem-solving, testing, and a little trial and error! 💚💛

On their first day of AP Physics, students got to time their partner's motion. ⏱️ Each motion was chosen to communicate something about the student's personality: walking heel to toe may indicate preciseness, walking backwards may indicate odd interests, etc. 🚶‍♀️🚶 Then students were to calculate their partner's average velocity! 🧮

Principles of Engineering students kicked off the school year by being challenged to design a shoe for a walk around the room! 🚶‍♀️🚶

🙌 What these students didn't know was that there were some obstacles in the way plus a time limit. ⏱️ This helped emphasize the importance of defining our problem, the first step in the engineering process. 🦶

We need to be very clear about the expectations, requirements, and constraints before we begin designing! 👟 Hands-on learning at its best!! 💚💛
