Dear Fairway Canyon Residents,

As one of our community's most popular amenities, the Fitness Center is enjoyed by residents of all fitness levels throughout the day. To help ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for everyone, we'd like to share a few important reminders regarding facility access, gym etiquette, and community courtesy.

Access Requirements
Residents must be 15 years of age or older to utilize the Fitness Center.
Residents between the ages of 15 and 17 must have an active access card assigned to them in order to enter and use the facility.
Please do not provide access to individuals who are not authorized to use the Fitness Center.

Gym Etiquette & Courtesy
During peak usage times, we ask all residents to be mindful of others and share equipment fairly.

Please remember to:
Limit cardio equipment use to 20 minutes when others are waiting.
Avoid reserving or "holding" equipment while using another machine.
Allow fellow residents an opportunity to utilize equipment when the gym is busy.
Return all weights, dumbbells, and accessories to their designated locations after use.
Wipe down equipment when you are finished.
Keep noise levels at a reasonable volume and use headphones when listening to music.
Fitness Center Rules
For the safety and comfort of all users:
Shirts and appropriate workout attire are required.
Closed-toe, rubber-soled athletic shoes must be worn at all times.
A workout towel is required while exercising.
Food is not permitted in the Fitness Center. Water is allowed only in plastic spill-proof containers.
Cell phone use is prohibited within the Fitness Center.
Disruptive behavior, profanity, or conduct that interferes with others' use of the facility is prohibited.

Respect Your Neighbors
The Fitness Center is a shared amenity, and we ask all residents to treat one another with courtesy and respect. If you encounter a concern, observe a rule violation, or experience an issue with another user, please do not confront or argue with your neighbors.
Instead, notify Community Staff so that we can address the matter appropriately and consistently. This helps prevent unnecessary conflict and ensures all concerns are handled professionally.

Working Together
Our goal is to provide a positive fitness experience for everyone in the community. By following the rules, sharing equipment courteously, and treating fellow residents with respect, we can help ensure that all members have an opportunity to enjoy the Fitness Center safely and comfortably.

Dear Fairway Canyon Residents,

We have recently received an increase in reports of bulky household items being left along community streets and common areas. To help keep our neighborhood clean, safe, and attractive, we'd like to remind residents that Waste Management offers two free bulky-item pickups per year for residential customers, with up to six bulky items per pickup. Residents can schedule these pickups directly through Waste Management.

Common bulky items include:

Furniture
Mattresses
Appliances
Large household items

Important Reminder

Waste Management advises residents to place approved bulky items out for collection at 6:00 a.m. on the scheduled pickup day. To help maintain the appearance of our community, please do not place items at the curb days in advance. Leaving bulky items in the street or common areas before your scheduled pickup date may create safety concerns and can result in compliance action.

Please Notify the Management Office
If you have scheduled a bulky-item pickup, we kindly ask that you notify the Management Office with your address and scheduled pickup date. Maintaining a record of approved pickups allows us to differentiate between scheduled collections and unauthorized dumping, helping staff respond more effectively to resident concerns.

The City of Beaumont's next Community Cleanup Event is currently scheduled for October 24, 2026. Additional information will be shared with residents as it becomes available.

Dear Fairway Canyon Residents,

As temperatures rise and wildlife becomes more active, we would like to remind everyone that Fairway Canyon is located adjacent to beautiful natural open space. While sharing our community with local wildlife is one of the many benefits of living here, it also means we should all take a few simple precautions to help keep our families and pets safe.

Coyotes

Coyotes are frequently seen throughout the Beaumont area and may enter residential neighborhoods, particularly during the early morning, evening, and overnight hours.

Please remember to:
Keep dogs on a leash during walks.
Never leave pets unattended outdoors, especially small dogs and cats.
Keep cats indoors whenever possible.
Remove pet food, water bowls, and fallen fruit that may attract wildlife.
Secure trash cans and avoid intentionally feeding wildlife.
Bobcats

Bobcats are generally shy and avoid people. Sightings are uncommon but do occur in the foothills surrounding our community.
If you encounter a bobcat:

Keep a safe distance.
Supervise small pets outdoors.
Do not approach or attempt to feed the animal.
Allow it an escape route.
Mountain Lions

Although mountain lion sightings within neighborhoods are rare, they inhabit the surrounding foothills and may occasionally travel through the area.
If you encounter a mountain lion:

Stay calm and do not run.
Make yourself appear as large as possible.
Maintain eye contact.
Slowly back away while giving the animal space.
Keep children close and immediately pick up small children if safe to do so.
If a mountain lion appears aggressive or poses an immediate threat, call 911.

Snake Awareness (Please click on the link at the end of the email to see a guide)

Several snake species are native to our area. Most are harmless and play an important role in controlling rodents and other pests.

California Kingsnake
Gopher Snake
California Striped Racer
California Whipsnake
Ring-necked Snake
These snakes are non-venomous and generally avoid people.

Venomous Snake to Watch For
Southern Pacific Rattlesnake
How to identify a rattlesnake:

Distinct rattle at the end of the tail.
Thick, heavy body.
Triangular-shaped head.
Often blends into rocks, brush, and dirt trails.
If you encounter a rattlesnake:
Stay at least six feet away.
Do not attempt to move, capture, or kill it.
Keep pets and children away.
Allow the snake to move away on its own whenever possible.
If a rattlesnake is located in a common area or poses an immediate safety concern, please contact the Association office. For snakes on private property that cannot safely leave on their own, residents may contact the City of Beaumont Animal Control (951) 769-8500 for assistance.

Wild animals are an important part of our local ecosystem. By giving them space and avoiding behaviors that attract them into neighborhoods, we help protect both wildlife and our community.

Highway 60 westbound has reopened at the I-10 interchange. Motorists should continue to use caution in the area as firefighters remain engaged in suppression and containment operations.

Residents may continue to see smoke from interior hotspots within the fire footprint. This activity is being monitored by crews and does not indicate significant fire growth.

[FINAL UPDATE 6/20/26 6:00 PM] The remaining evacuation warning has been lifted and the fire is 98% contained.

[EVENING UPDATE 6/19/26 7:00PM] The fire remains at 3,085 acres and is now 91% contained. Firefighters have made significant progress extinguishing interior hotspots, completing mop-up operations, and continuing suppression repair activities throughout the incident area.

The evacuation WARNING for the Shore Fire Perimeter will remain in effect through the weekend to ensure the safety of both residents and firefighters as crews continue their work.

This will be the final Shore Fire update until Monday morning, June 22, 2026.

[EVENING UPDATE 6/19/26 7:00PM] The fire remains at 3,085 acres and is now 78% contained. Firefighters made significant progress today strengthening containment and control lines and conducting mop-up operations on smoldering hotspots within the fire area.

Crews will continue suppression repair efforts, strengthen containment lines, and patrol the fire perimeter throughout the evening. The Damage Inspection Team is completing assessments of structures impacted by the incident.

An evacuation WARNING remains in effect for the Shore Fire Perimeter only. All other evacuation ORDERS and WARNINGS have been canceled.

No injuries reported.

[UPDATE 6/18/26 8:00 AM] The fire remains at 3,085 acres and is now 67% contained. Ground crews and dozer operators made significant progress overnight establishing and strengthening containment and control lines around the fire perimeter. Increased relative humidity and a persistent marine layer contributed to favorable firefighting conditions and supported suppression efforts.

Today, crews will continue strengthening containment lines, begin mop-up operations, and monitor and extinguish remaining hotspots within the fire area.

The evacuation ORDER for the Shore Fire Perimeter zone remains in effect, along with the surrounding evacuation WARNINGS. Fire officials continue to evaluate conditions and will adjust evacuation statuses when it is safe to do so.

[EVENING UPDATE 6/17/26 7:00PM] The fire remains at 3,085 acres and is now 54% contained. Firefighters made significant progress throughout the day strengthening and expanding containment lines, securing the fire perimeter, and addressing interior hotspots. Crews will continue working through the night to improve containment and monitor remaining heat within the fire area.

As firefighters continue making progress on the Shore Fire, evacuation ORDERS for zones RVC-231-B and RVC-231-C have been downgraded to WARNINGS. The Shore Fire Perimeter remains under an evacuation ORDER.

[UPDATE 6/17/26 7:30AM] The fire remains at 3,085 acres and is now 40% contained. Ground crews made significant progress overnight constructing and strengthening containment lines, laying hose around the fire perimeter, and monitoring interior hotspot activity.

Today, firefighters will continue strengthening containment lines and ensuring hotspots remain within the fire perimeter. Interior islands of vegetation will continue to burn within the established fire area and may produce visible smoke columns throughout the day.

Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible. While Highway 60 remains open, fire activity and ongoing firefighting operations may impact traffic in the area. Please use caution and remain alert for firefighters, heavy equipment, and emergency vehicles entering and exiting the incident.

No injuries have been reported.

[UPDATE 6/16/26 7:00PM] The fire is mapped at 3,085 acres and is 32% contained. The increase in acreage is due to interior islands of unburned vegetation burning within the established fire perimeter.

Resources will continue working throughout the evening to monitor hotspots, lay hose, and strengthen containment lines around the fire perimeter. Interior hotspots may remain active and continue to produce visible smoke.

All evacuation ORDERS and WARNINGS remain in effect. The Incident Command Team will conduct a repopulation meeting tomorrow morning (6/17/26) to evaluate conditions and develop a safe re-entry plan for residents.

Highway 60 westbound at Interstate 10 is open. Motorists are urged to use caution while traveling in the area, as drift smoke may reduce visibility. Firefighters, heavy equipment, and emergency personnel remain actively engaged in operations.

[UPDATE 6/16/26 7:30AM] The fire is holding at 2,600 acres and is 25% contained.

Crews continue to face challenges due to steep, rocky terrain, which has made access difficult. Firing operations were successful in removing unburned fuel within the fire perimeter, helping firefighters get ahead of the fire and strengthen containment efforts.

Today, resources will continue establishing and strengthening control lines while maintaining structure defense operations.

Evacuation ORDERS and WARNINGS remain in effect. The incident command team is assessing the fire threat and working to determine a safe plan for repopulation.

Highway 60 westbound remains closed at the I-10.

No injuries have been reported.

[UPDATE 11:50PM] the fire is mapped at 2,053 acres and 20% contained. Air and ground resources will continue working throughout the evening to build and strengthen containment lines around the fire perimeter.
Evacuation ORDERS and WARNINGS remain in effect.
This will be the final update of the evening.

Dear Fairway Canyon Residents,

Management is closely monitoring the Shore Fire and conditions impacting the Beaumont area.

At this time, portions of the Fairway Canyon community are located within an Evacuation Warning zone identified by emergency officials. An Evacuation Warning is not an evacuation order; however, residents within affected areas should be prepared to leave immediately should conditions change.

Residents are encouraged to:

• Monitor official emergency alerts and notifications.
• Prepare important documents, medications, pet supplies, and essential personal items.
• Ensure vehicles are fueled and ready if evacuation becomes necessary.
• Review evacuation routes and household emergency plans.
• Follow all instructions provided by emergency personnel.

Management has taken precautionary measures, including directing our landscape contractor to irrigate common area slopes adjacent to the community to increase moisture levels in nearby vegetation. We will continue monitoring fire activity, air quality conditions, and updates from Riverside County emergency officials.

At this time, the pool area is closed due to the air quality, and operations may be adjusted if conditions warrant.
