Founded in 1976, Nance Universal Technical School was created with the aim of educating electricians and mechanics to effectively maintain HVACR systems. We recognize the importance of ensuring that HVACR systems operate smoothly with minimal downtime. To achieve this, we have developed classes and training programs that help optimize system performance and reduce downtime. Our commitment is to meet industry standards and exceed expectations. Over the years, this vision has transformed our technical school into a trusted institution, educating students globally. We have built strong relationships with some of the world's largest companies in the Industrial, Offshore, Commercial, Marine, and Petrochemical sectors. We are constantly working to enhance our course offerings.
Current Course Offerings
Basic HVACR: Ideal for electricians or mechanics with limited experience in HVACR systems who will be maintaining them.
EPA Certification & Refrigeration Recovery: This seminar covers the recovery and recycling of regulated refrigerants for those who repair, maintain, or install relevant equipment, utilizing state-of-the-art technology.
Advanced HVACR: Suitable for individuals already engaged in the repair and maintenance of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
Troubleshooting HVACR & Chilled Water Systems: Participants should possess prior on-the-job experience and some technical training in HVACR.
Brazing & Bonding Lab: This class explores major soldering techniques commonly used in the HVACR industry, detailing brazing materials, practical applications, flared fitting preparation, and installation. Students will work with brass, steel, and aluminum.
Our training programs consistently incorporate the latest EPA rules, regulations, and guidelines. Furthermore, we are excited to announce that we will soon add the NFPA 70E electrical safety program to our curriculum, developed to help companies and their employees minimize risks and reduce occupational injuries and fatalities.
