We’re excited to partner with Lamar University Venture Center to bring the Entrepreneur in Residence program to The Forge! 🚀

This Wednesday, we’ll host the first Entrepreneur in Residence session, giving local entrepreneurs and aspiring founders the opportunity to connect with experienced business leaders, talk through challenges, refine ideas, and get guidance on what their next step could look like.

What can you expect at Forge What’s Next?👀

For starters: free professional headshots, good food, and a room full of people building things around SETX.

Come early, because for the first 20 minutes of the night, Nicole Foster of Emeriephotography_ will be taking free professional headshots. 📸

Nicole is a Beaumont photographer who shoots families, weddings, portraits and special events, and we’re really excited to have her there.

So if your LinkedIn photo needs an update, you need a new photo for your business, or you just haven’t had a good professional photo taken in a while, we hope you get there early for your free photo!

We’ll also have refreshment food from Cheddar’s, with Lance Taylor and Shaye Doolittle hosting the night.

And really, the whole point of Forge What’s Next is simple: bring together people around Southeast Texas who are starting businesses, growing side hustles, working on ideas, or just trying to meet more people doing the same.

So come hang out, meet some good people, and see what comes from it.

Meet Brooke Wilhelm, Senior Attorney at Storm Law Partners, PLLC and a member of The Forge community.

Brooke is licensed to practice law in Texas, Arizona, and Illinois, with a primary focus on representing residential and commercial property owners in insurance disputes.

Her work includes helping policyholders with bad faith insurance claims, including situations where an insurance company wrongfully denies a claim, delays payment without valid reason, or otherwise fails to meet its obligations under a policy.

At The Forge, we are all about building a community where everyone feels they belong. That’s why we are so excited to partner with The Phoenix to bring a brand-new series of sober-active events to downtown Beaumont! 🚀

Under the leadership of our Director of Growth and Community, Shaye, we are excited to host this sober-active series, where our space is reserved as a safe and supportive, trigger-free environment for anyone in recovery, those choosing a sober lifestyle, and their allies.

Our first Sober Game Night is happening May 5th from 6 PM - 9 PM, and it’s going to be a blast. We’re firing up the arcade cabinets and clearing the tables for a night of high-energy fun. 🕹️🎮
