EC-6 degree plan current flow chart!
09/19/2018
We hope you are having a great semester! If you ever have any questions, you may reach us at [email protected] or 409-880-7972.
Attempting to make this page more user-friendly for all of you, so I'm making this a Q&A post thread. Due to FERPA, I will only be able to answer general questions, but I've also added my Lamar email address into the contact information, in case you need info more specific to your situation and/or a more immediate answer. Going to make it a habit to check here daily, to see if questions have been posted. đź’ˇ
It looks like some students’ certification concentrations have been altered in Degree Audit. You will need to scroll about halfway down the page to see what yours is or if it states it needs to be input. If your concentration is wrong or not there, please drop by the office so I can give you a form to have it corrected. Thank you, and have a nice weekend!
Walk-in advising begins next week. If you haven’t been advised yet for Summer/Fall 2018, please come see us!

In an effort to try improve the understanding of the updates on the EC-6 degree plan, I've revamped the flow chart from the previous version. Hard copies are available in the Education Bldg, Room 201 lobby.
ATTENTION STUDENTS!
For Summer/Fall 2018 advising, you may choose to receive your scheduling information via email. This means if you sign up for an advising slot, and choose the email option, you
- will be emailed the course list at that time or sooner! and will not have to visit the office. Ms. Fondren will check the clipboard in between standard appointments, and go through the email requests. PLEASE use your assigned Lamar University email address.
-your holds from INDS will be updated when you are emailed, and you will be notified if you have holds from other departments on campus.
-outstanding issues (like needing to update your concentration in Banner) will be included in the email.
-any remaining questions will be answered via email and/or you may come into the office after May 1st.
If you need to enter the program for Fall, you will still need to meet with Ms. Hale to go over the requirements, and see what you have remaining to fulfill for entry. You do not need an appointment to meet with her.
The clipboard will be going out on March 29th at 10am. Advising begins April 4th, per the Academic Calendar. Please, do not come to your appointment more than 15 minutes ahead of time (for spatial reasons). We're located in the Education Bldg, Room 201!
Students on EC-12 or 7-12 certification plans make an advising appointment for any PEDG 3000/4000 course, and READ 3326. They must also bring a signed copy or email version of their advising form from their primary advisor to the appointment, in order to be approved for these courses.
