Ambassador 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐳 (LU Class of 2020) graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from The Ohio State University. CONGRATULATIONS!!

Ambassador 𝐉𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐡 𝐒𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐡 (LU Class of 2024) graduated with his second degree from Lamar University: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. CONGRATULATIONS!!

Ambassador 𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐳 𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐨𝐥𝐚 has been appointed TSUS Student Regent for the 2026-2027 school year. CONGRATULATIONS!!

The Texas State University System welcomes the appointment of Elizabeth Diaz Arreola, a Lamar University exercise science major, as the next TSUS Student Regent.

Appointed by Governor Greg Abbott, Ms. Diaz Arreola is one of eight student regents recently named to the governing boards of Texas’ public university systems and independent universities. She succeeds Texas State University student Donavan Brown, whose one-year term expires May 31.

Ambassador 𝐏𝐞𝐲𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬 completed a tax internship at Weaver, a national certified public accounting firm in Houston. She has been offered a full-time position as a tax associate for after she graduates from Lamar University next year. CONGRATULATIONS!!

Ambassador 𝐀𝐬𝐡𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 (LU Class of 2025) will attend The University of Oklahoma -College of Law starting Fall 2026. CONGRATULATIONS and we wish you all the best!

CONGRATULATIONS to Ambassador 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐚 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐛𝐢 (LU Class of 2022) for graduating with her Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama Law School!! She will sit for the Texas Bar Exam in July and will start working at the Ferguson Law Firm in August.

Ambassador 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐊𝐚𝐠𝐠𝐚𝐥 (LU Class of 2019) graduated with a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.! She will take the test to become a licensed clinical psychologist after she completes her residency and moves to California for her next duty post at Camp Pendleton. CONGRATULATIONS, Dr. Kaggal!!
