The new issue of Texas Architect focuses on placekeeping, considering the complexities of what it means to build and develop in an “authentic” way — we visit four sites in West Texas facing unique challenges in how the stories of their past are told, explore the alternate approaches to development and preservation demonstrated by Seguin and Amarillo, consider what role architects can play in placekeeping, and examine conceptual work by design studios exploring small Texas towns.

'It's gonna be awesome' : Hamshire-Fannett High School breaks ground on new pavilion Once finished, the pavilion will be more than just a concession stand. It will feature a new locker room, an official room for referees and more restroom stalls.

Construction is coming along on this home on Evangeline Street in Beaumont. All of the ceiling wood is cypress and the flooring is distressed oak. The warmth of the wood adds a cosy casual feeling of the interiors. A very masculine house for a real special lady with wonderful taste.
