The National Hurricane Center has put out an advisory on Potential Tropical Cyclone One. This means this storm system has the potential to become a tropical system. Right now the winds are sustained at 30 mph and it is still over South Texas. The track has it moving into the Gulf and possibly becoming Tropical Storm Arthur by tomorrow. A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for Jefferson and Chambers Counties. The main threat with this system is the rain and not the wind. The forecast is for it to become a very low end Tropical Storm with winds at 40 mph.
