ENTERGY RESTORES POWER TO TENS OF THOUSANDS OF CUSTOMERS, MANY STILL REMAIN IN THE DARK

More than 1,500 crews in the field are working to restore power after after Edouard knocked out electricity to more than 70,000 customers at its height.

We checked the Entergy outage map, and as of 6 a.m. Wesdnesday the numbers included:

-Jefferson County - 28,566

-Hardin County - 13,889

-Orange County - 8,229

-Tyler County - 4,306

Entergy has a large number of workers and contractors at a staging area at Doggett Ford Park and the Holiday Inn on Walden Road, ready to fan out and work on restoring power.
