God has really been stirring something in my heart lately.

I pray often, “Lord, show me how to grow and how to bring others closer to You.” One thing He’s been teaching me is that we can’t only share the victories—we have to be willing to share the struggles too.

Running a small business isn’t always easy. This rainy summer has been tough, and yesterday was one of those days. I burned brownies, had a flat tire, was involved in an accident that damaged our trailer on the way to an event, and to top it all off, got the truck and trailer completely stuck in the mud.

Normally, I’d try to handle it all myself. But yesterday, God reminded me that it’s okay to ask for help. The amount of people who reached out, showed up, prayed, and helped us was overwhelming. Thank you to every single one of you. Your kindness meant more than you’ll ever know.

I’m not sharing this for sympathy or handouts. I’m simply asking that if you’ve been thinking about stopping by Mabel’s, now is a great time to come show us some love. Every snow cone, every share, and every recommendation helps. Our goal is to get this trailer repaired as quickly as possible so we don’t have to keep riding around looking crazy! 😂 So if you happen to see us on the road with a big dent, just know we’re working hard and picking up every penny we can to get her fixed.

Even on the hardest days, God is still good.

Yesterday reminded me how blessed I truly am. No one was hurt, we were still able to serve one event, so many amazing people came to help, and through it all, God never left my side.

And big thank you too, my little brother Thomas and his employee over at Aline Front End & Brakes for coming over to assist and Jaume Williams and our youngest son for always coming through when I’m in a bind.
