Tango music is a rhythmic and passionate genre originating in the 19th-century Río de la Plata region (Argentina and Uruguay). It can be defined by its dramatic, often melancholic mood, dramatic tempo shifts, and walking-like beat. Here is a short clip of one of my favorite tango pieces by Scott Joplin.
