And they're off! Today, our Introduction to Construction Management students paired with Habitat for Humanity of Jefferson County and the Rotary Club of Beaumont to build and restore three homes in Beaumont. Under the supervision of Dr. Mahdi Safa, students will learn real world construction skills and the value of giving back to the community.
Our students perform service projects every semester, but, due to the impact of Hurricane Harvey, this year's efforts come with extra urgency and meaning.
We'll post more photos of this project as the action progresses.

We're so grateful our alumni volunteer their time to give first year construction management students an idea of what to expect in the industry.
This year, we had representatives from Mason Construction, Ltd., Turner Industries, Gulf Coast - an Oldcastle Company, Verdigris Homes, & Valero Energy.
Thanks to Associated General Contractors of SETX for coming out and grabbing some great photos of the event.
