Lamar Student Education Association- LSEA We are a Lamar University organization that prides itself on community service and helping education

This organization is a very helpful tool for ALL Education majors and students with and interest in teacher education! LSEA members are a part of the Texas State Teachers Association Student Program (TSTA-SP) and the National Education Association (NEA). LSEA members participate in multiple community and campus service projects (food drives, read-ins,and LU Food Fest) and host multiple fundraisers

(book fairs, T-shirt sales). LSEA members also attend 2 conventions during the school year, one Fall regional convention and one Spring state convention which is held in Austin, TX. The conventions provide opportunities to network with other professionals through professional development workshops and organizational sessions. LSEA members also receive liability insurance through TSTA and NEA for the entire school year with the $32 membership fee. LSEA members receive peer support within the group, have fun, and make friends that will last a lifetime! Here is the link for new members to sign up through:
