I recently went shopping for car window cleaner for my SUV. Apparently, an auto service center used a silicone-based cleaner on the windows, and it made them extremely difficult to clean properly afterward.

While standing in the auto parts store, I decided to ask AI for a recommendation on the best product for the job. Within seconds, it pointed me toward products specifically designed to cut through silicone residue. It delivered exactly what I needed.

On the drive home, I started thinking… doctoral candidates can use AI in much the same way when searching for dissertation support.

If a doctoral candidate asks AI about dissertation statisticians or research consultants, AI searches across the internet and highlights experience, qualifications, reviews, publications, websites, and professional presence.

That means your online reputation matters more than ever.

For those who may ask AI about me, here’s what it will likely find:
✔️ Nearly two decades of dissertation consulting experience
✔️ Assistance with quantitative analyses, SPSS, Chapter 4 write-ups, and research design
✔️ A long history of helping doctoral candidates successfully complete their dissertations
✔️ An established professional web presence and referrals from former clients

Technology can’t replace hard work, but it can certainly help people find the right tools — and sometimes the right person — for the task at hand.

“Doctoral candidates often ask me, ‘Can you really help if I already have the data?’

Absolutely.

Data by itself is just numbers on a screen until it’s properly organized, analyzed, interpreted, and written into a clear Chapter 4. That’s where many candidates get stuck.

Whether your study involves surveys, pretest/posttest designs, correlations, regressions, ANOVAs, qualitative coding, or SEM/path analysis — having the data is a major step forward.

Now the focus becomes:
• Cleaning the dataset
• Selecting the correct analyses
• Testing assumptions
• Interpreting the findings
• Formatting tables and figures
• Writing APA-style results narratives

If you’ve collected your data, you’re farther along than you think. Keep pushing forward. The finish line may be closer than it feels today.

Today was about more than earning a degree. It was about perseverance, sacrifice, love, and finishing what was started.

My son-in-law graduated today with his Bachelor of Arts in Business Management, and our family could not be more proud.

He and my daughter began college together, but life took an unexpected turn when he stepped away from school to help care for his terminally ill mother. That season of life demanded strength, compassion, and selflessness far beyond the classroom.

Although his mother is no longer with us, her impact and memory continue to live on through the love and determination she inspired in those around her. Today’s accomplishment is a reminder that sometimes the road to success is not a straight line. Delays are not defeats.

He persevered. He stayed committed. And today, he crossed the finish line.

Congratulations on this well-earned achievement. Your resilience, character, and dedication tell a story far greater than any diploma ever could. We are incredibly proud of you. 🎓❤️

May the Fourth Be With You… and Your Dissertation Journey 🚀

Today’s a fun one—May the 4th—and I figured my tie said it all.

But here’s the connection…

Every doctoral journey has its own version of “the dark side”:

* overwhelming data
* confusing statistical tests
* Chapter 4 stress
* tight deadlines

And just when it feels like the odds are stacked against you… that’s when guidance matters most.

You don’t have to navigate SPSS, data analysis, or Chapter 4 alone.

I’ve spent years helping doctoral candidates bring clarity to their data, confidence to their results, and structure to their dissertations—so they can cross the finish line successfully.

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure about your next step…

Let’s bring balance back to your research.

🎓 Happy National Dissertation Day! 🎓

For many, the dissertation is more than just a document…
It’s late nights, early mornings, and moments where quitting feels easier than continuing.

But it’s also this:
✔️ Proof of perseverance
✔️ Evidence of expertise
✔️ A legacy of your academic journey

Since 2006, I’ve had the privilege of helping doctoral candidates turn confusion into clarity—especially in Chapter 4 (data analysis and results), where many get stuck.

One thing I’ve learned?
👉 Most people don’t fail because they’re not capable…
👉 They struggle because they don’t have the right guidance at the right time.

If you’re currently working on your dissertation, here’s your reminder today:
You’re closer than you think.

And if you need help getting across the finish line, I’m here.

This morning, I had an experience at the drive-thru that made me think about how much we rely on technology in communication.

The speaker system was muffled and difficult to understand. At first, I assumed the issue was entirely the equipment. But when I reached the window, I realized the employee was also working through a speech impediment while trying to take orders in a fast-paced environment. My son checked the order before we pulled away, and everything appeared correct. Once we got home, however, we discovered parts of the order were wrong.

It reminded me of something important: technology is supposed to improve communication, but sometimes it can actually create more barriers when the human element gets lost in the process. Poor audio systems, rushed interactions, distractions, and assumptions can all lead to misunderstandings.

Ironically, I see a similar issue in doctoral work. Many students have access to advanced software, AI tools, templates, and automated systems, yet communication with committee members, clear writing, and genuine understanding of the research process still matter more than ever. Technology can assist the process, but it cannot replace clarity, patience, and human connection.

Sometimes the real solution is not “more technology,” but better communication.

If you’re conducting a quantitative dissertation study and struggling to find participants, here’s something many people overlook…

Platforms like SurveyMonkey offer a Target Audience feature where they handle the recruitment for you.

That means:
✔️ No chasing participants
✔️ No waiting weeks (or months) for responses
✔️ You can often reach your required sample size in just a few hours

Over the years, I’ve assisted numerous doctoral candidates who used this approach successfully—especially when they had tight deadlines for Chapter 4.

Of course, you still need to:
📊 Ensure your sampling aligns with your research design
📊 Clearly define your inclusion criteria
📊 Budget for the cost (since this is a paid feature)

But when used correctly, this can be a game-changer for moving your study forward efficiently.

If you’re stuck on participant recruitment or need help analyzing your data once it’s collected, feel free to reach out.

📉 Shrinkflation Isn’t Just in the Grocery Store… It Happens in Doctoral Work Too.

We’ve all seen it—
Same price, smaller product.

A bag of chips that looks full… but isn’t.
A cereal box that hasn’t changed… except it has.

That’s called shrinkflation.

But here’s something to think about… 👇🏽

🎓There’s a version of shrinkflation happening in doctoral programs.

You’re paying full tuition… but getting limited guidance
You’re putting in the work… but not getting clear statistical direction
You’re expected to produce Chapter 4… with minimal support

➡️ The result?
A dissertation that looks complete on the outside…
…but is missing depth, clarity, and strong analysis.

💡That’s where I come in.

I don’t do “shrinkflation.”

I provide:
✔️ Clear, step-by-step statistical guidance
✔️ Clean, APA-formatted tables and results
✔️ Chapter 4 write-ups that actually make sense
✔️ Support that helps you FINISH—not stall

📌 If you’re feeling like your doctoral experience is giving you less than what you signed up for… let’s change that.

Doctoral programs rarely go exactly as planned.

My EdD in Counselor Education program was designed to be 60 semester hours, but that assumed students already had a master’s degree in counseling or a related field. If not, additional leveling courses were required.

Fortunately, I only had to take one additional course — but it came at a frustrating time.

I failed the Graduate Writing Proficiency Exam, which meant I had to take a Graduate Writing Proficiency Course before I could sit for my comprehensive exams. At the time, that course felt like a major setback. In fact, I seriously considered quitting the program altogether.

My wife convinced me otherwise. She reminded me that I had already come too far to stop.

Looking back, I believe the university should have administered that exam much earlier in the program, because that one course was the only thing standing between me and my comprehensive exams.

Even though the program was structured as a 60-hour degree, life happens while you're earning a doctorate.

During those six years:

• My wife was pregnant three different times
• All three of our children were born during the summers, so I paused coursework during those periods
• Our family also experienced the disruption of Hurricane Rita in 2005

What was designed to be a shorter program ultimately took six years to complete.

But in December 2006, I walked across the stage and earned the degree.

Many doctoral candidates assume they are the only ones experiencing delays, setbacks, or discouragement. The truth is that almost everyone’s doctoral journey has obstacles.

The key is to keep moving forward.

Sometimes the difference between finishing and quitting is simply having someone remind you that you've come too far to stop now.

Sometimes I see great questions in doctoral groups that remind me of the transition many scholars face after the dissertation is finished.

One person recently asked how researchers move into independent research and collaborations after defending their dissertation.

When I completed my doctorate, my first research collaborations actually came from people already in my professional circle—members of my dissertation committee and a colleague I worked with. Because my research involved large datasets and quantitative analyses, those collaborations naturally turned into opportunities to publish.

Over time, that work resulted in three peer-reviewed journal articles.

What I’ve learned is that research partnerships often begin with the people who already know your work—committee members, faculty mentors, colleagues, or professionals in your field. Your dissertation can be the starting point for a much larger research agenda.

For doctoral candidates currently working on their dissertations, remember:
Your dissertation is not just a requirement for graduation—it can be the foundation for future publications and collaborations.

And of course, strong statistical analysis is often the key that turns a dissertation study into a publishable manuscript.

If you’re navigating the dissertation process and need help with research design, statistical analysis, or interpreting your results, I’m always glad to help.
