Your TEAS score isn’t determined by how many hours you study.
It’s determined by what you study.
Most students spend weeks reviewing everything in the book and end up overwhelmed. The students who see the biggest score increases focus on the concepts that show up repeatedly on the exam.
Here’s a smarter approach:
📌 Start with a practice exam under timed conditions. This will quickly reveal your weakest sections and show you where your effort will have the biggest impact.
📌 Prioritize the topics that carry the most weight:
• Science: Human body systems, especially how major organs and systems work together.
• Math: Ratios, percentages, fractions, decimals, equations, and word problems.
• Reading: Identifying main ideas, drawing conclusions, and locating supporting details.
• English: Grammar, sentence structure, punctuation, and vocabulary usage.
📌 Turn every mistake into a lesson. Don’t just check the correct answer and move on. Understand why you missed the question and review those weak areas regularly.
📌 Use test-taking strategies to your advantage. Remove unlikely answer choices, watch for distractors, manage your time wisely, and answer every question before the clock runs out.
Small improvements in the right areas can lead to major score increases.
