We are so honored to have Nadia Mullova-Barley soloists from the Royal Ballet coming to work with our Travel Team dancers today! 🩰

Nadia’s Biography

British-Russian dancer Nadia Mullova-Barley is a First Artist of The Royal Ballet. She joined The Royal Ballet’s Aud Jebsen Young Dancers Programme from the start of the 2017/18 Season and was promoted to Artist in 2018 and First Artist in 2023.

Mullova-Barley began dancing aged seven. She trained at West London School of Dance before entering The Royal Ballet Lower School, graduating through the School. Awards include the School’s Ninette de Valois Choreographic Award in 2011. Roles while a student include in Les Patineurs, Concerto and Les Syphildes at the annual matinees.

Mullova-Barley’s professional engagements while a student include dancing with The Royal Ballet in The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Anastasia and Mayerling.

With the Company, her roles include Lilac Fairy (The Sleeping Beauty), Fairy Winter (Cinderella), Spanish (The Nutcracker), Big Swan (Swan Lake), Harlot (Romeo and Juliet) and in Light of Passage and Solo Echo. She has created roles in Joseph Toonga’s Dusk, Joshua Junker’s Never Known and Pam Tanowitz’s Secret Things.

Sebastian tours and teaches dancers all over the world, and we are incredibly honored that Derrick Ballet Conservatory is one of the stops on his international tour.

He will be sharing his knowledge, experience, and passion for dance with our dancers, providing an inspiring opportunity to learn from an accomplished professional. We are so excited for our students to grow, be challenged, and gain valuable insight from his expertise.

Take your acro skills to the next level this summer with two exciting weeks of training!

Week 1: Aerial & Back Handspring Intensive
Date: June 22–25
Time: 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM

Designed for advanced dancers only, this camp will focus on:
1. Aerial progressions
2. Back handspring technique
3. Strength & conditioning
4. Flexibility training
5. Drills to improve power, control, and confidence

Week 2: Acrobatics Skills & Variations
Date: June 29 – July 2
Time: 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM

Open to dancers ages 6 and older. This camp will focus on:
1. Acrobatic skills and progressions
2. Skill variations and combinations
3. Flexibility and strength
4. Balance, coordination, and technique
5. Building confidence in a fun, supportive environment

Location: Derrick Ballet Conservatory

Spots are limited! Minimum of 5 dancers per camp
