🧹💙 LET’S CELEBRATE OUR AMAZING BOLDEN CUSTODIANS! 💙🧹

As a reminder, Custodian Appreciation Day is coming up this Friday, and we’re putting together a special BBQ-style lunch to celebrate the incredible custodians who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep Bolden clean, safe, and looking its best! 🧤🧽✨

We’re asking our wonderful Bolden families to help us make their lunch extra special! ❤️ We still have a few empty donation slots that we would LOVE to see filled.

📚😂 Okay, parents… tell me you remember THIS feeling!

What was your favorite book from the Scholastic Book Fair? Because apparently I took mine VERY seriously. 😂 I bought Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark at my elementary school book fair… and I STILL HAVE IT! At this point, this book has survived childhood, adulthood, moves, kids, and probably deserves to be included in my will. 🤣

If you grew up in the 90s, you already know the Scholastic Book Fair was basically our version of Amazon Prime Day. 😂 You walked in with $10 feeling RICH, trying to decide between Goosebumps, Scary Stories, a poster, a bookmark, and some completely unnecessary pencil you suddenly couldn't live without. 📚✏️

And can we talk about those little Scholastic order forms?! We'd circle half the catalog knowing good and well Mom said, “Pick ONE.” 😭😂

Some parents— you may not have experienced the absolute thrill of bringing that paper catalog home, but THIS is why some of us get ridiculously excited when the Book Fair comes around. 🥹❤️ It's not just books… it's one of those childhood memories that somehow sticks with you.

So now I need to know…

What was YOUR Scholastic Book Fair book?! 👀📚
Goosebumps? Scary Stories? Babysitters Club? Magic School Bus? Or were you the kid spending all your money on posters, erasers and pencils? 😂

The pumpkins are out, the books are ready, and we’re getting everything set for a MONSTROUSLY FUN Family Night at Bolden! 🍂👻📖

And we want to make one thing VERY clear:

📚✨ DO YOU REMEMBER THE EXCITEMENT?! ✨📚

Walking into the Scholastic Book Fair as a kid with a few dollars in your pocket felt like you were RICH! 😂💰

You had a whole shopping list planned out:
📖 Goosebumps books
🚗 That poster you absolutely needed
✏️ The coolest pencils and erasers
🔖 A bookmark that probably had absolutely nothing to do with reading 😂

And somehow, the Book Fair always felt like one of the BEST days at school! ❤️

Now it’s our kids’ turn to experience that same excitement at the Bolden EMS Scholastic Book Fair! 🦅📚

Get those eWallets ready, because we all know they're about to walk into that Book Fair like they have an unlimited credit card. 😂💳

The wait is almost over! 🎉 Have you noticed the Book Fair banners and yard signs popping up on and around Bolden? 👀📖 They’ve been giving you a little hint that something exciting is coming… and now THE BOOK FAIR IS COMING TO TOWN!!! 🥳

But before the shopping begins, it’s time to get those BOOK FAIR eWALLETS ready! 💳📚

Scholastic eWallet is an easy, cash-free way for your child to shop the Book Fair. Simply scan the QR code on our flyer or follow the provided link to create and add funds to your child’s eWallet.

🚨 IMPORTANT eWALLET REMINDER! 🚨
When setting up your child’s eWallet, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SELECT BOLDEN AS YOUR SCHOOL! ❤️💙

Bolden and Elliott are completely separate Book Fairs. If Elliott is accidentally selected, those funds will NOT automatically transfer to Bolden. A parent will need to contact Scholastic’s Customer Success Team to have the issue corrected. Don’t worry—it’s an easy fix if a mistake happens, but selecting BOLDEN from the beginning will make everything much easier! 😊

💰 Have money left over from last year’s eWallet? Great news! Any remaining eWallet balance from last year will automatically be available for this Book Fair, and you can add additional funds if needed.

📚 And YES, Middle School—we have books for YOU too! This isn’t just an elementary Book Fair! We’ll have books for our elementary AND middle school students, with something for all kinds of readers. Graphic novels, fantasy, mystery, funny books, real-life stories, sports, manga and MORE! 📖✨

Bolden families, it’s time to start getting ready for BOLDEN ELEMENTARY MIDDLE SCHOOL’S TRUNK OR TREAT & FALL FESTIVAL! 👻🚗🍭 We need YOUR help making it an amazing night for our students, families, and community!

🍫 CANDY DONATIONS START NOW! 🍬
Students, bring in bags of individually wrapped candy and TURN ALL CANDY DONATIONS IN TO YOUR HOMEROOM TEACHER!

🏆 AND THERE’S A CHALLENGE! 🏆
We’ll be counting donations from NOW through October 26th! The HOMEROOM CLASS THAT COLLECTS THE MOST CANDY will WIN A PRIZE! 🎉🥳

So Bolden Eagles… get those candy donations coming! Every bag helps us make BOLDEN’S Trunk or Treat bigger, sweeter, and more fun! 🍫🍭🍬

🚗🎃 WANT TO DECORATE A TRUNK? WE WANT YOU!
We are also accepting sign-ups from anyone who would like to decorate a trunk and participate! Parents and their students, Laurel Bay residents, Parris Island residents, DoD community members, active-duty families, and retired military members are all invited to join in the fun!

And this isn’t just for Bolden families—Laurel Bay and Parris Island residents are welcome to come out, participate, volunteer, decorate a trunk, collect some candy and treats, enjoy the activities, and spend the evening with our community! ❤️💙

👻 We have LOTS more exciting details coming soon about everything planned for the night, so stay tuned!
