💙 There’s nothing quite like having the BA family back together! 🦅

Today marked the first day back for our faculty and staff, and while our students are still enjoying a few more days of summer, campus was buzzing with big smiles and high hopes for the year ahead. It was so good to be back together again—oh how we’ve missed each other! 💙

Our faculty and staff kicked off the year with a warm welcome from Head of School Carol Ann Richards, who got us energized and ready for the year ahead, alongside Head of Preschool and Lower School Brayden Dinkins, and Head of Middle & Upper School Jesse Davidson.

And, of course, you can’t start a school year without a delicious breakfast! 🥐☕️ A huge thank-you to BAPA for sponsoring our Chick-fil-A breakfast and helping us kick off the year with full bellies and happy hearts. We are so grateful for your support of our BA family! 💙

Then it was time to get to work! Classrooms are coming to life, bulletin boards are going up, desks are getting organized, and our teachers are putting all the finishing touches on the spaces where so much learning, laughter, and growing will happen this year. 📚✨

The halls may still be a little bit quiet, but there’s already so much energy on campus. We’re ready, we’re excited, and we cannot wait to welcome our Eagles back on Wednesday! 🦅🎉

Here’s to a wonderful year ahead! 💙

🦅 Alumni News 🦅

Congratulations to Beaufort Academy alumna Elizabeth Foster on being recognized by the American Civil Liberties Union as the 2026 Next Generation Leader in Civil Rights and Civil Liberties!

Elizabeth was honored at the ACLU’s biennial awards ceremony in Washington, D.C., where she was recognized alongside Bruce Springsteen, Colin Kaepernick, Vanita Gupta, and Erwin Chemerinsky—an incredible distinction among nationally recognized leaders and advocates.

Elizabeth received the honor for her work defending the freedom to read in South Carolina and for empowering students to engage in conversations about free speech and civil liberties.

Reflecting on the honor, Elizabeth shared:

“I am so grateful that the ACLU recognizes the pivotal role that young people play in the fight to defend Americans’ civil rights and liberties, and I am deeply honored to be the first recipient of this award. I hope that BA students are empowered by the notion that their activism can make a real impact beyond school walls and state lines.”

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Elizabeth’s accomplishments and the impact she continues to make. Beaufort Academy alumni are making a difference in communities across the country, and we can’t wait to see what’s next.

Congratulations, Elizabeth—and as always, once an Eagle, always an Eagle! 🦅
