Today we celebrate Ms. Boozer, our Music Teacher, as Broad River’s 26-27 Teacher of the Year. She was honored at a brunch along with all of the other District Teachers of the Year! We are so appreciative of all that Ms. Boozer brings to the BRES community!

Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Simmons' Pre-K class participated in a Chicka Chicka Boom Boom book study. Throughout the week, students engaged in a variety of hands-on activities designed to support their literacy, cognitive, and math development. Through interactive lessons, games, crafts, and learning centers, students explored letters, counting, sequencing, problem-solving, and early reading skills while making meaningful connections to the story. The book study provided a fun and engaging way for students to learn and grow across multiple developmental areas. To celebrate the completion of the study, students ended the week by creating and enjoying a delicious Chicka Chicka Boom Boom themed treat!

We remembered the bravery and unified spirit our country shared 25 years ago today by wearing red, white, and blue, holding a minute of silence at 8:46 am, and learning about this event (in age appropriate ways, of course). Pictured is Ms. Valentine’s Kindergarten class sharing the craft they completed after their lesson.
