6th and 7th Grade Celebration of Achievement

After much reflection and gratitude, I am excited to share that I have accepted the position of Deputy Superintendent with Colleton County School District in South Carolina.

Serving the students, staff, families, and community of Lady's Island Middle School has been one of the greatest honors of my professional career. I am incredibly thankful for the relationships built, the challenges we’ve overcome together, and the many accomplishments we’ve celebrated along the way.

This decision was not an easy one because this school community has meant so much to me personally (as a LIMS alumni) and professionally. I will always be grateful for the trust, support, and collaboration that have shaped my journey as an educational leader.

As I prepare for this next chapter, I remain fully committed to finishing this school year strong, celebrating our students' achievements at the 8th grade promotion and 6th & 7th grade awards programs, and supporting a smooth transition for our students, staff, and families.

I look forward to continuing to serve students and educators in this new role and am excited for the opportunity to help make an even broader impact in public education.

Thank you to everyone who has supported, encouraged, and believed in me throughout this journey. I carry that support with me moving forward.

Summer is just around the corner! If you are looking for ways to keep your student engaged, we have some software programs that your student can access through Classlink through July 11 on your personal device!
Students can login to our BCSD Classlink launchpad at https://launchpad.classlink.com/beaufort.

Highlighted programs:
💻SORA - Sora is a shared, district-wide collection of borrowable eBooks and audiobooks.

💻Reading Plus - After taking the Insight Assessment, students click the Lessons tab to receive personalized and adaptive lessons to support reading fluency, comprehension and vocabulary.

💻IXL Math - Students can click Skill Plans to find their Personal NWEA MAP Growth study plan based on their most recent i-READY scores.

💻Progress Learning – Login and click on Study Plan to complete practice tests, view videos, and answer question to master each skill.

💻Zearn Math (6-8) - Students will earn badges for completing digital lessons and independent practice.
