Remembering Priscilla Adele Aimar Trask ’69
Beaufort Academy is deeply saddened by the passing of Priscilla Adele Aimar Trask, a member of Beaufort Academy’s very first graduating class in 1969 and a beloved part of our school’s history.
Priscilla’s connection to BA dates back to the school’s very foundation. Her father, Charles Schley Aimar, was one of the founding members of Beaufort Academy, beginning a family legacy of service, involvement, and love for the school that would span generations.
As a student, Priscilla was a cheerleader and a member of the first senior class to participate in RAT Week, a tradition that continues at BA today, bringing seniors and freshmen together and creating friendships across grade levels. Those who remember Priscilla from her early days at Beaufort Academy recall that she always made sure the freshmen received plenty of love and encouragement. She was a true student ambassador for BA.
Her dedication to Beaufort Academy did not end with her graduation. Throughout her life, Priscilla continued to give her time and talents to BA, volunteering in many capacities and especially enjoying time spent helping in our kindergarten classrooms. Her love for children and her willingness to serve were gifts she shared generously with our school community. Priscilla leaves behind more than memories. She leaves a legacy of service, tradition, and love for Beaufort Academy that will continue through the generations who follow her.
Over the decades, members of Priscilla’s family have served Beaufort Academy as board members, volunteers, parents, and supporters, while generations of her family have walked our halls as students and graduates. Her family’s story and Beaufort Academy’s story have been intertwined since the school’s earliest days. Priscilla’s legacy will forever be woven into the history and heart of Beaufort Academy.
We extend our deepest sympathy to the Trask and Aimar families and are incredibly grateful for the many ways Priscilla helped shape the school we know and love today. Fly High, Eagle.🦅💙
The family has graciously designated Beaufort Academy as one of the organizations to receive memorial gifts in lieu of flowers. We are deeply honored that Priscilla’s legacy at BA will continue in this meaningful way.
