I have always believed that strong communities are built when people are willing to step up, work together, and take care of one another. Through my work in education, I see firsthand how much community support can impact individuals and families. United Way allows me to serve beyond my professional role and help strengthen the community we all call home.

I would make sure every child and family had access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive. Whether it is food, housing, education, healthcare, or simply having someone in their corner, basic needs should never be a barrier to someone's potential.

The people. There is a genuine sense of connection here. People know their neighbors, show up when someone needs help, and take pride in their communities. And being close to the coast certainly doesn't hurt!

One of my favorite local restaurants is Blue Heron, and I think the Down East Community is truly one of our area's hidden gems. There is something special about the people, culture, history, and natural beauty of Down East that everyone should experience.

Dolly Parton. She is incredibly successful, but what I admire most is how she has used that success to give back, particularly through her commitment to literacy and children. I think the conversation would be inspiring and probably a lot of fun!

I would probably still choose something that allowed me to work with people, build relationships, and make a difference. I could see myself in event planning or nonprofit/community work - something where I could bring people together around a common purpose.

Education and creating opportunities for young people. I believe every student deserves the opportunity to discover their strengths, develop their talents and see a pathway to a successful future, regardless of their circumstances.
