Dr. Greg Cant Dr. Greg Cant was named Wilkes University's seventh president in December 2019, commencing his role in May 2020. He retired from Wilkes at the end of July 2026.

After much reflection, I have informed the Board of Trustees of my retirement in August 2026. It has been a privilege to serve Wilkes University and to advance its mission.

In the months to come, the Board of Trustees will initiate a formal search for the next president. I am fully committed to ensuring a smooth transition and to supporting the leadership team as we prepare for this next chapter. As part of this transition, I will continue to serve Wilkes in a fundraising capacity and will be focusing my efforts on ensuring the University is well-positioned for the future.

As I look ahead, I do so with tremendous confidence in the future of the university and in particular, the amazing students, faculty, staff and alumni who comprise our campus community.
