AP Students: I have begun meeting with students taking Digital Tests for AP to check on a few things and to give a few reminders. Here are just a few general reminders for everyone:
- Digital Tests are for AP English Language (11th) & AP Literature (12th); AP US History & AP World History; AP Computer Science Principles ... all other tests will be paper and pen/pencil.
- Students taking Digital Tests will need to bring their chromebooks fully charged and their charger just in case. They will need to be able to access the Bluebook app on their chromebook (must be signed out of your account to do so), and must have their Digital AP Test showing in Bluebook
- Arrival time is always 30 minutes prior to the START time for the exam (7:30 for 8am exams and 11:30 for 12pm exams)
- Students must stay for the entire length of the exam (arrange rides for after school if exam is to end beyond the end of the school day)
Attached is the most up to date schedule. For exams showing two locations, students will be notified of where they are to attend prior to the exam date.

Rising Seniors,
Laurel Ridge and Fauquier County Public Schools have been working together to provide the opportunity for students to get accelerated options in four high need career fields (Drones, Robotics, HVAC and Plumbing). These programs are now available at Laurel Ridge Warrenton Campus, and can be taken similar to a student attending MVGS.
- The courses would take up 2 blocks (1st and 2nd) in the Fall (Drones or HVAC) or Spring (Robotics or Plumbing)
- Transportation would be provided from LHS to Laurel Ridge and back
- Students would have to apply as there are limited spots available
- Cost would be $250, but the value would be much more than that as students would be getting many different courses in that 2 hour time frame for a semester and would walk out with a chance to earn industry certifications and possibly some transferrable college credit
- Application for HVAC is 5/1, and Drones is also likely 5/1 (since both programs are in the Fall); Spring programs will have a later application date, but we need to know of your interest so we can discuss whether this would work with your schedule for next year
- Some high school credit will be given, which will show on your transcript and can be used for VHSL eligibility
Please let us know immediately if you are interested in any one or more of these programs so we can discuss it more with you and get your application completed.
Thanks,
Mr. McCaslin
