🔦 Pals In Motion Spotlight: Meet Marybeth Houlahan!
🤍 When Marybeth was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in the spring of 2015, she found herself searching for answers about what the future might look like.
🫂 At a Parkinson’s event in Akron, she met two members of the InMotion team (shoutout Ben and Dan) and that introduction changed the course of her journey.
“I discovered InMotion when I was searching for answers to what the future held for me. The coaches, classes, and other clients (that have now become friends) showed me that I still had a promising positive future and not to give up. They gave me what I needed to maintain my full-time job as a nurse manager of an operating room for 9 more years and what I currently need to live my best life every day.”
🥁 For more than a decade, Marybeth has been part of the InMotion community, participating in everything from spinning and boxing to drumming, pickleball, BED, and power stretch. She says each class serves a unique purpose and helps address different symptoms and needs.
🤗 What keeps her coming back is the atmosphere that fills every corner of InMotion:
“I believe it’s the positive energy that flows through everyone, every class, every room. There’s no sadness, just reinforcement of being better simply by being there.”
🙌 As we approach Pals in Motion on Sunday, August 30th, Marybeth says the event represents far more than a fundraiser:
“The fundraising allows this amazing work to continue free of charge to the clients. I also believe that Pals in Motion is important because it showcases for the community how capable the Parkinson’s clients are and how much GREAT work the coaches and staff do every day.”
🙏 Marybeth’s story is a powerful reminder of the impact InMotion has on the lives of those living with Parkinson’s. Join us at Pals in Motion Walk/Run on August 30th and help ensure these life-changing programs remain free for everyone who needs them.
