Don't forget that tomorrow night, Wednesday, November 16th, is Travis Elementary Night at the Lee College vs. Lone Star College-Kingwood Runnin' Rebels Basketball game! Tip-off is at 7:00 p.m. Each student received a free ticket at school. Bring a friend! Friends admitted free with a donation of 4 canned goods for "I Can, U Can, We Can".

Congratulations to our very own, Jennifer Simotas-2nd grade teacher, for receiving special recognition from the Mix 96.5 Dave Mahoney & DK morning show Houston Love program AND a $500 check from Gulf Coast Credit Union for all of her hard work in the classroom!
Ms. Simotas was nominated by parents and members of the community for her dedication to our students.

Parents, we want to remind you that Monday, October 10th is a student holiday due to a Staff Development Day and students do not report to school. Students report back to school on Tuesday, October 11th. Thank you.

Tomorrow, Friday, October 7th, is the day of our 1st six weeks Academic Celebrations in the cafeteria.

Grade-level times are as follows:
3rd grade- 8:25 a.m.
2nd grade- 9:05 a.m.
1st grade- 9:45 a.m.
4th grade- 2:00 p.m.
5th grade- 2:40 p.m.

*Pre-K and Kindergarten celebrations will be held in classrooms.

This is a reminder that vision and hearing screenings will be conducted for Travis Elementary on Monday, October 3rd and Tuesday, October 4th. This will include all state-mandated grades as follows: Kinder, 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade. If your child wears glasses, please make sure they have them. If they are absent on their screening day, their screening can and will be made up at a future time.
