🌟 Congratulations to Our Lone Star Degree Recipients! 🌟

Lee FFA members Ruben Medrano, Rihanna Pacheco, and Malaya Strambler have earned the Texas FFA Lone Star Degree, the highest degree that can be awarded at the state level.

To qualify, each member earned at least $1,000 through their SAE, completed 25 hours of community service, and participated in at least 10 FFA activities above the chapter level.

These accomplishments represent years of hard work, leadership, record keeping, and commitment to agricultural education.

Ruben, Rihanna, and Malaya will receive their Lone Star Degree certificates and pins on Tuesday, July 7, at the Texas FFA State Convention in Fort Worth.

🏆 STATE WINNER! 🏆

Congratulations to Ruben Medrano for being named the Texas FFA State Winner in Food Science Proficiency!

Through his SAE at Raising Cane’s, Ruben has accumulated over 2,700 hours of work experience while developing skills in food safety, quality control, customer service, and leadership. His dedication and hard work have earned him the top honor in Texas and a $1,000 scholarship.

We are proud to celebrate this incredible accomplishment and can’t wait to see what he achieves next!

Know a Texas student who will be a high school senior next year? Have them sign up for our THRIVE program!

This learning experience is part of our Student Success Series.

Students participating in this program will develop public speaking and leadership skills, learn more about the free enterprise system and hear from engaging motivational speakers. Plus, they’ll dive deeper into digital advocacy efforts and participate in a media training.

Thrive will take place July 31 - Aug. 2 in Waco.

Registration closes July 14 and is limited to the first 150 students who sign up.

Today, Lee FFA had three students attend the Gulf Coast District FFA Convention hosted at Turner High School. 💙💛

We are excited to congratulate Ruben Medrano on an outstanding day!

Both awards will advance to the Area level! Ruben’s dedication, work ethic, and commitment to his SAE continue to make Lee FFA proud.

Lee FFA has had a busy couple of weeks and we’re proud of our students for stepping up!

On April 9th, our Forage and Floriculture teams competed at Area 3 at Sam Houston State University. With only ONE student having prior CDE experience, this was a big first contest for most—and they represented us well!

Our Forage team came back motivated and is already creating study guides with a goal of making state next year 👏

On April 18th, one dedicated freshman competed in Horse Judging at Texas A&M University. In his first contest, he placed 3 classes correctly—great start to a promising career 🐎

Next week, we’ll attend Gulf Coast District Convention with two award applications submitted, hoping to advance to area!

Proud of these students for putting in the work! 🌾🌸

This evening, Lee Ag Mechanics students also have a firewood rack in the live auction at the Clear Creek Ducks Unlimited Banquet. They’ve been putting in a lot of time and effort to get multiple projects completed and ready for several events happening this week.
